Man, first, I've been checkin' hiphopmusic.com since the start, initially for the Underground Railroad shows and the DJ mixes. It wasn't until I wrote a critique of David Drake's article "The Death of Hip-Hop" two years ago that I discovered the real social and political content of your blog. And actually it was Drake who put me on to that.

But you got very dope perspectives that I've borrowed a lot from as you'll see if you look over D&HHP some more. And illdoctrine is fantastic. You've got something going there that you just won't find elsewhere and you did well to talk about the fact that while no one will be the first to report, you'll always be the first to offer your own slice on the issue. And illdoctrine is done in a real crisp and succinct way. Keep it up.

And I hear you on the conversation tip, it kinda took a life of its own and none of us wanted to speak over each other or dominate the discussion, but overall I thought it was dope and it was nice to chop it up with you.

I'll keep checkin for you Jay. Peace.
