Cosign the whole video. It's not just Ransom and Budden though. All these e-beefs have been whack. All they do is talk mad ish to their camcorders, scurry to Youtube or their emails to shoot the vids over to WSHH and wait. BORING! All the while I'm wondering what's good with their album drop situation. *le sigh*
MAKE MORE VIDS!

I really enjoyed your take on what you think about the hip hop beef situations. Since this internet vlogging and blogging has become effective in everyone life people feel the need to release whatever material in a short period of time. NO thought process is taken in. And the funny thing is I never heard of Ransom until Joe Budden did his little segment of 'Joe Budden TV'. He def . took the high road which is the best way to wrap up what seem to be a comparison on 'burgers' & 'cars'.

Yo your blog is ill son. I found it through nah right. I had already seen other videos of yours that eskay posted over at nahright. You make a lot of sense in what you're saying most of the time and succeed in dropping knowledge in an entertaining way. Keep up the good work. One!

I agree with most of what you have to say. It reminded me of a discussion I had with an Emcee about Battling. She didn't believe it to be a part of becoming an Emcee. She found Battling to be competitive and not interdependent. As such, for her, it contradicted the foundations upon which Hip-Hop culture rests.
For me, Beef is a character defect of Hip-Hop Culture. But I guess humans will always be humans. I mean, why spend valuable time attacking someone verbally or physically, when we all are suffering (in varying degrees) from the direct or indirect consequence of Beef. Where is the fun in Beef? I thought Hip-Hop was about safely having fun...you know...Peace?
But what do I know? You just keep on keepin' it thoro for the hood...
Nice post.

Damn - I feel so completely disconnected from contemporary hip-hop. Thanks for the being a conduit...
Great post! I think this just underscores one of many ways that the Internet has hastened rap's downfall. Rappers don't have any incentives to take the time necessary to do anything well anymore, especially beef. Part of the reason we haven't had any truly classic albums in the past 10 years or any classic beefs in at least the last 4 or 5...

Hmm. W/ mixtapes flying maybe it's just people constructing something together? Then again, what are we building? JSmooth, check out this young talent. Cello + beatboxing. He's trying to win a competition to play with Yo-Yo Ma. Check him out: http://www.indabamusic.com/submissions/show/4347

Great site, great stuff. Thanks to Andrew Golis from TPM for the rec, I will now check in weekly to see what DJ Smooth has as an offering.
Jan 20th can not come soon enough. The next couple of years are going to be life changing for many Americans and those around the world. Hopefully we will all have the courage and strength to make this world more livable, sustainable and peaceful for the next generation.

Although I thoroughly enjoyed your views of the election, I'm glad you're talking about hip hop again. Dropping gems!

joe budden shouted you out on the latest joe budden tv! I'm glad you're getting attention. Your vlogs are always on point.

Can you talk about T.I.'s new attitude, vocal style, and album?

It would appear your appraisal of Joe Budden was a tad premature. Have you heard about his new beef with Saigon?
Posted by: brownhornet at January 18, 2009 7:33 PM
This is pretty good. But, I don't feel like Budden's "you win" was truly pure. Instead of just saying, "I'm bored with this, you win," he kind of added in some insults there at the end. It would have been far more pure if he hadn't insulted Ransom at all, thereby giving Ransom nothing to reply to. Now, at least theoretically, there is some jab to keep things going.
Oh yeah, how come you switch from youtube to the other service intermittently?
That's a REALLY good point you made. Back in the day, the ONLY way you would get your words to people was in a record, because the only time they even knew you were ALIVE was when they were at a party and your track came on.
Now that everyone has their own video streams and social media sites, you don't have to rap at all to have a following. It's like this gigantic LEAK in hip-hop and it's just like you said, instead of being creative and making memorable music, people go for the cheap views and sidebar comments.
