Obama: He Really Deed It.

June 6, 2008

An all-star tribute to Barack Obama, courtesy of Jay Smooth, Dipset, Just Blaze, Eli Porter, Rebecca Sealfon, Cyrus, Morpheus, Nas, and Gabby Johnson (RIP Hedley Lamarr).

I may be cynical about the politics but no matter what happens from here on in, our kids will never again have to wonder if they can really do it. That's something.

About time Jay. Been three days man!!! Was wondering if you were still in Turkey or some shiz. Amazing vid. Love the shout-out to the Spelling Bee. He DID IT!!! Man, I've only had tears of happiness once in my life on the day my wife said "I do." But, when he hit us with the "This is our time." He brought 'em out. Such an amazing time to be an American. Yes he did. Yes he will. This is our time!

Congratz overseas!
I'm so glad he made it.

Totally off topic. But why did you spell "DID" as "DEED"?

Posted by: Asali at June 6, 2008 3:52 PM

"deed" is the traditional Eli Porter spelling

YES WE CAN!!!!! I never thought I could be inspired by a major party's candidate, but Obama has changed that. I may be a white female, but I feel that his nomination shows that ANYONE can truly be president. Finally!!!!!!!!!!!

"YES WE CAN!!!!! I never thought I could be inspired by a major party's candidate, but Obama has changed that. I may be a white female, but I feel that his nomination shows that ANYONE can truly be president"

No. W's nomination showed that ANYONE can truly be president.

Obama's nomination shows that for once Americans are interested in electing someone who genuinely looks like he's going to do the job to the best of his ability. Americans are frustrated with the same formula for failure and tired of the bullsh** like the pumped-up climate of fear and consumerism.

I have long wanted to share your vlog genius on a grander scale than the occasional link in an email or IM...

I have long wanted to update my website....

Those two goals collided today, and you made the links. No only did you make the links, but you topped the links. Keep up the fabulous work, Mr. Smooth.

pleezd to see your cynicism proven wrong for the right cause. now, to solve the problem of cultural ADD long enough to get all you fuckers to vote.
