Amazing. Listening to NY Oil speak immediately made me think of Emerson's essay "Self-Reliance". Not so much a continuation of Emerson's philosophy (in the scholarly sense), but a manifestation of it. He seems sincere and humble, yet passionate and committed. As admirable as that blend is to achieve, I think it's even more difficult to maintain, especially when the fame and fortune flow in. This dude's definitely on my radar now, though. I'm interested in seeing how he grows.
