Doing The Errol Flynn in Detroit

Here's a cool demonstration of Detroit's local dance known as the Errol Flynn.. which although it looks happy-go-lucky has a sinister history, tracing back to the Errol Flynns street gang in the 70s. This page has a great history of Detroit dances and how they were intertwined with local culture.

J thanks for posting this. Technically, homeboy is doing a combination of the Errol Flynn, the Rambisco, and the jit.

Everytime homeboy is using his hands to make cutting movements in the air (like using a sword)? that's the errol flynn...

Some thirty years later you can still catch this in the clubs in Detroit.
