When I first heard Bobby McFerrin back in the early 80s, I always thought "I hope he has kids who get into hip-hop, they'll probably be awesome human beat boxers." 25 years later I discover that his son, Taylor, is not a bad beatboxer.

Is Doug E. Fresh the greatest beatbox of all time? And where does Rahzel rank? I like this Taylor McFerrin but he sounds like a person engaged in mimicry. In contrast, Doug and Rahzel produce utterances that don't even give a hint of their human origins.

I hear what you're saying Submariner but I think that is mostly due to the quality of my recording, which doesn't reproduce how it came across on the sound system..
Being the inventor Doug always ranks first, hard to argue with Rahzel as the GOAT either. But my beatbox idol when I was growing up was Ready Rock C. Don't sleep.
And yes, women can beatbox too, check for my girl Buttascotch! Also shoutout to all the crew from Beatboxer Entertainment.
